View Full Version : Color of car....
Ok, I keep getting mixed opinions from people who have seen the car. So, take a look at the picture here. Notice, that's it a different color in each one. Those of you who have seen the car in person, particularly those who own one ( lucky bastards :) ) Which pic does the color match in person the most....or are they all wrong.

I saw it indoors at an autoshow...I would say #1 close up, good idication of the metal flake, and #5. The middle pictures are way too dark and redish. I'm not sure why they came out that way.

Like jroof, I concur, having seen the car indoors. #1 is accurate; although, #5 is closes to what I remember. Strange red hue on other pics.

It's really tough to say what the closest resemblance of the color of the car is through these pics. None of the pics truly duplicate the color of the car. Here is what I think though. Pic 1 is is really close to exact, although you would only see this color at night with a flashlight right up to it.
Pic 2 is really close too. This color would only come again at night from a slight distance with some lighting in the area.
Pic 3 I have yet to see my car this color. That color is way too pink/red it seems.
Pic 4 would be seen on a cloudy day from a distance. The color match is pretty close.
Pic 5 is definitely the closest to resembling the actual color in person. The color is still a little lighter in person than this pic.
The color is really close to that of a pumpkin. Almost identical (In my opinion). I finally got to see my car in the some sunlight yesterday and that is when the car TRULY looks AWESOME! The gold flakes just sparkle and shine and makes the paint look really expensive. Seeing the car in pics is one thing, but seeing it in person is a totally diferent experience.

Newf- Nice collection of pics!
I think most cars, especially metalic painted cars appear to be many different shades when seen from different angles and in different lights. I think you have to see one to actually know what it's going to look like in a certain light.
I think the answer to your question is D) All of the above.
As you can see from the different pics. the car can appear to look like several different shades, it just depends on the lighting and the angle that you look from. The pics. of the car at a show are usually under bright lights that are sometimes colored so you will probably not see that shade when the car is outside.
That's my $.02 w/o even seeing the car. :)

I've seen the car a few times now and I agree with Gyrospeed's judgement of the photo's. When light hits it, certain parts of the car glint with goldy yellow highlights which appear just in places where the lights hitting just right, like the edges of the wing or along a crease in the body panels. This photo is pretty close, but doesn't show the yellow highlights.

I agree with Gyrospeed as well, but I think pic 1 is the closest if it has direct light on it. Like today in the sun. Know what I am going to take a look at it right now.
