Does anyone know the production breakdown per color for the 5000 North American units(cars)?
I'm trying to decide between Silver and black and I may just choose the most rare one. Please don't even suggest Cosmic Blue!!! BLEGH!!!
Anyone know where I can find this?

I'd say go silver, for maintenance purposes. Black will be much more difficult to keep looking good, but when it's clean it can't be beat. Just personal preference though.

I felt the same about cosmic blue until I saw it in person. The one on the mazda site looks horrible. Have you seen one on the street yet?

^ yep, actually I was the opposite! I though the picture looked good until I saw it on the lot. It's actually the one I test drove. didn't like it in person at all.
I really wanted black but the closest one was 2 days transport away. My parents were in town because I needed them to co-sign since I have no credit and there was a blue one in the showroom and it was love at first sight :)

I could never decide whether I liked the blue or not. Sometimes it looked great, other times I really didn't like it. Think a lot depends on the lighting, surroundings, and whether the car is clean.

It is harder to keep clean, but personally, I love it. For the most part it makes people take car of it more...if they don't it really shows.

Thats why I liked it. Looks blue in some light, slate colored in others, purple in other light. My Mineral Grey Mustang's the same way. Can never quite put your finger on the exact color. Black red and silver are pretty much plane jane.

Well guys, I've decided on Black Mica...I keep my cars religiously clean normally so this will just be extra incentive to do so. My first factory black car!!! I had a black MK2 VW GTi but that was an aftermarket paintjob.

That can't be right b/c they stopped making True Red after the first batch of 500.

Those 250 red, 100 white, 100 black, and 50 blue numbers apply to 2007 Canadian-spec only.

I'd be surprised if there weren't since there were no plans to introduce more than 500 cars to Canada, and they were all red.
Edit: Hmmm well now I don't know - found another article that was supposed to be 250 red in the fall, and 250-300 white in the spring.
Anyway, I think the numbers are right - and most sources say that no MS3's were lost so who knows that the original plan was. All I know is that you can't get red anymore, and the second batch was white, black and blue.
