If you removed both cats, you are in a world of hurt. As far as I know, there is no way to avoid a CEL with the first CAT Gone. The second O2 sensor is checking that the CAT is working. You may be able to replace the O2 sensor with a circuit that fakes the ECU into thinking the gas has the right mixture, but no spark plug adapter is going to do it.

you should not be losing power from eliminating the cats or even from an emissions CEL. if you put non foulers on the first sensor however that would dramatically worsen the way the car drives, so hopefully you did not do that.

Buy a high-flow cat from somewhere and put it in place of the first missing one. Fixed.

Hey man, in two posts you say "cats".
So, you do a ghetto mod and wonder why it doesn't work well. Pay the price and put it back to stock. Then mod with proven parts.

No check what ken said about the sensors first. The celo doesn't mean limp mode. My standback sets a code for lean and the car still runs balls to the wall. The second cat under the body is unmonitered. You can gut the second cat and do nothing else the car will never know.

import* by the way there is plenty of help but u have to be a bit realistic before asking for help...what did u do to cause the problem? and what can you put back on to fix it...are questions you need to ask urself. buying aftermarket for the first cat which i believe is the downpipe is the best because they are typically not throwing cells. second cat like stated before can be gutted without a problem since there is no sensor but your going to need money to fix this..and untill you have that you cant seriously be getting mad at us for telling you what to do or how u fucked up...

i never said anything about money in the first place and how can i say it so the little school bus peple can understand me.... next if web sites are selling CEL/MIL o2 non-foulers to fix this way is it not working and where is it said that it will only work on a $1000 exhaust

Looking at your mod list ( mazdaspeed3, TBE.CAI,NO CATS,50 shot NOS ), could it be that your problems are not just based off your missing cat(s)?
How much experience do you have with the "NOS" and did you do the work yourself? I am just trying to help...

OK lets start over. Is your mods list accutate? You have a CAI, (DOWN PIPE, MID PIPE, CAT BACK) is a TBE and a MBC (set to what boost pressure). What brands of components are you using? You say you have an O2 sensor code. Have you modded your sensors? If so which and with what?

Hey there, I was just wondering, why did you do this mod even though you knew it was going to cause problems? a couple of months ago, you were told:

SharkDiver Says...
you can remove the 2nd cat and have no problems but there is a O2 sensor after the 1st cat so it will throw a code if you remove it.
Did you get some sort of sensor that was going to make you think you could just delete the cats and have no issue?
I was just thinking that your best bet would be to get a good downpipe and not worry about fooling the system. Especially since it's under warranty (maybe not for long) and you may want to take it in for some work at the dealership.

yep i was thinking that if i used the o2 fix i could delete the cats. i may be wrong but i was thinking that the 2nd cat was for emissions only?
and thank you for tring to help me i'am not tring to be a ass just leaning
i have only worked on v8"s big block chevys
my drag car is a 87 monte carlo ss with 496 big block with a little gas(NOS)

I have no cat and no check engine light. I think your problem lies elsewhere.

Assuming you removed both cats correct? There's a precat connected to the stock downpipe and there's a second cat which is your main cat that's connected to the exhaust. If you removed both and used non foulers on both sensors then that's your problem. You have to use an actual o2 sensor on the top sensor input then use a non fouler on your second o2 sensor input. I believe the second input faces the left, and the first faces uptop.

Ok so you have not had the down pipe off the turbo then? If the cat is still in the very first section of pipe both sensors should be stock (NO TRICKS, NO
NON-FOULERS)

Hey man just to clarify, The first cat is replaced with a short style downpipe. The first O2 sensor stays stock, the second gets a non fouler extender on the O2. This will not throw a code. The second cat called the midpipe is unmonitered by the car. I know you give good advise so I don't want people seeing the wrong info floating around.
