Interesting. Whered you find it? It seems as though it a suspension related TSB but the end of the info you posted talks about front crankshaft bolt service warning. Im a little confused but would like to know more.

This is the trans bolt that was failing I believe. I show it on progressive profile so that means my vehicle had the recall. You should show a sticker somewhere if indeed you went for this specific recall.

It specifies Crankshaft bolt Service. That would be on the opposite side of the Trans mount bolt that was replaced. I will keep looking into it and post what I find out.

TSB's aren't recalls. An engine mount is a crankshaft bolt.

Please don't ask me why I didn't just edit my post. It's a long and stupid explanation.

why didnt you just edit your post?Because my work blocks the images for the links for the Edit/Reply buttons, and I was too lazy to view source and reconstruct a link to the edit function. But I did it just for your post because, well, you're just a special little guy!

Has anyone had this done yet? Do you have a PDF of the full TSB 0102206? Looks like it's pretty wide spread across the entire Mazda line.

I just got off the phone with Mazda Corp. and they said this TSB is VIN specific and doesn't affect our MS3's. I searched on AboutAutomobile.com and this TSB is listed under almost every vehicle back to 2005. They list all TSB's even if it doesn't affect us and lets the diagnostic computer state which ones apply to your VIN#. Guess so they don't miss one or something. The Mazda Rep. said it was smart to research and ask about it but there is nothing to worry about on our cars.

I haven't seen another Cosmic Blue MS3 on the road except when I went home last Christmas (06) and got stuck next to one in Houston traffic. We should meet up and admire how much better looking and how much faster my car is than yours. lol(lol2)

18% on the back 5 windows, I forget what the front has. It seems really dark in the picture, but its not that bad.

Thats where I got my dyno done at. Looking to go back now that I have my CAI and Testpipe. If I could sell my R/C gas helicopter I would buy a manifold, downpipe, and CDFP. That would be a good dyno to see.

FRONT CRANKSHAFT BOLT SERVICE WARNING. *NJ
Excerpt from the TSB:
DESCRIPTION
When removing or replacing the crankshaft pulley on a 2.0L (Mazda3 only) or a 2.3L engine, be sure to follow the Workshop Manual procedures.
The crankshaft pulley is not keyed to the crankshaft, and when loosened, it may move out of position on the crankshaft. The engine MUST be re-timed whenever the crankshaft pulley bolt is loosened, removed, or replaced.
For normal aspirated engines, follow the Workshop Manual procedures and time the engine using Special Tools (Crankshaft Alignment Pin 303-507, Camshaft Alignment Timing Tool 303-465 and a standard M6 X 1.0 X 2.25
bolt).
For direct injection spark ignition engines, follow the Workshop Manual procedures and time the engine using Special Tools (Crankshaft Alignment Pin 303-507, Camshaft Alignment Timing Tool 303-1061 and a standard
M6 X 1.0 X 2.25 bolt).
Please refer to the Mazda Job Aid on MS3 under Training titled “Engine Timing Verification and Correction LF2.0L and L3/L3T 2.3L” for more information.
CAUTION: Engine damage will occur if the engine is not re-timed properly. Refer to applicable Workshop Manual (Section 01-10 - MECHANICAL - 2.0L (Mazda3 only) or 2.3L).
NOTE: Damage to an engine caused by not following proper Workshop Manual procedures may result in denial of warranty claims or back charges.
