trip mod '08 not working

I have a 08' MS3 sport model. i tried the trip mod DIS doesn't come up no matter what. I don't have a info or set button on my radio either. does anyone try this on other 08's or did they change the design and it won't work on mine.

I'm at work i have limted time. i read threw the first four pages and just went back and just clicked on the last page and saw my anwser. sorry guys. I work for mazda but haven't touched any MS3's except the one i bought. we've only had MS6's come in. mine was the first one in our shop literally which i guess is a good thing. I hate this. mazda does little changes and crap like this and it's so stupid. i know it wasn't cause they knew what the older owners were doing. i've worked for honda , VW , suburu, and mazda and next to VW mazda does some of the stupidest changes like that. looks like i'll have to get a scan gauge if i want that. arrhhhh

I believe that the 08 Sport model doesn't work... at least noone has been able to utilize it, only on the 07s for the time being....

I wouldn't even worry about it anyways.... its not even accurate... well as for the Gas Remaining selection.... mine read Zero miles on it the other day, and I was still able to make it to the gas station about 4 miles down the road...lol But I guess that's me unless I'm missing something here?

I know it's not accurate. i wouldn't use it for that. I guess it's my ADHD kickin and i find something new and can't use it. i just like it as something to toy with.

The trip mod does not work on 08 MS3 Sport. It uses a different radio and that is where the program resides. I put an 06 radio from eBay in my 08 and the mod worked. Check the last page of the other thread.

On this thread I have to disagree with you. The old thread was just getting to complex for the 08 owners.

This thread sets the expectation clear. The DIS trick does not work for an 08 MS3.

2008 GTs work, although I believe you just push the INFO button and hold it... At least I do that now, and it works. But when I first attempted it; it didn't work. So I tried the DIS method, and it worked. Now all I do is just press and hold the INFO button and it goes to the MPG, AVG, blah blah blah, then i just press clock to revert back to the time. (rei)

I believe the GT model...2007 and 2008 both have this feature standard.
Its the Sport models that don't have this feature standard.

So you owning a GT, don't need to do this unlock mod...you already paid for it!!!!

So yes, on the 2008 SPORT models, the MOD DOES NOT WORK!!!!

Though I wonder if it will work on the 8.5. I just put mine on order (yay Metro Gray Mica!). They are changing the stereo once again, this time to add MP3 playback (hopefully WMA as well). I wonder if DIS will be re-enabled, or if it will stay disabled (may have found out that people are enabling DIS for free and finally took that out in future stereos?)
