My odometer showed 30,003 miles when I parked it last night.
Probably the best first 30k miles that I've ever enjoyed in a car.
Still a MS3 Fanboi here! (breakn)

Anyone with a lot of miles do a lot of track days or drag racing? I'm curious to know how well it holds up over time through hard use. Still pushing just under 6 second 0-60? Still in the low 14s high 13s in the 1/4?

What do you mean by driving like a mainiac? Did he crash it or did he total it by driving it like a tool, etc..?

you just described me to a T. over 32k miles now (since I started this thread).
just came back last night from my 6th full-course race track event within 1 year.
Willowsprings Big Track in CA. I ran four hard sessions, each about 15-20 minutes of non-stop, balls-out, hard and fast as she could do.
Absolutely zero problems in 6 track events. This engine, tranny/clutch, drivetrain and brake package is fabulous. And I say that coming from a Subaru background. Although I loved my Subie, I must say this little Mazda is showing a much greater willingness to dish it out without a hint of harm.
Sure, I'm on my 3rd set of aftermarket brake pads, but not because the others were chewed to the bone. I simply like the confidence of knowing my brakes have limitless abuse tolerance without worrying about premature brake fade or God-forbid...brake failure on the track.
I'm uploading a nice 15 min. video right now.....if Goggle video lets me post up a 81 MB file size. (evil)

That bmw's spoiler was ridiculous lol. Cool video though. How are those events? Do you get people that really try race you around, or is it mostly just a bunch of random people out having fun? Or a little bit of both.
