I have 2005 3 hatchback (70K) and have water getting into the trunk under the spare tire. I looked around as best I could but couldn't find anywhere that it appeared to be comming from.
Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks!

Check the Fuel neck area....I do beleive there was a previous problem in that area.

Thanks, I'll have a look (hopefully tonight) to see if I can find any evidence or holes around there.
my car was also having water in the trunk looked everywhere but couldn't find anything, then i looked under the car and there are 2 rubber caps for putting wire through,my car has park distance control so they put the wires through there, but they maked the hole too big ,so as i was driving in the rain water came through the hole and in the trunk,i put grease in the hole and now the trunk is completly dry.

i had the same problem. if you take off the plastic liner that houses the trunk latch, there is a metal seam a little above the bumper liner. that seam was leaking for me, sealing it up fixed the problem.
the best way to find out is crawl in your trunk with a flashlight and have a buddy take a hose to your car until you can find water droplets seeping through
