Contrary to popular belief there are many small planes that use the rotary engine for its power plant. This is not new news...

not to mention only three moving parts to tear up. plus rotaries tend to not have catastrophic break downs like a recipricating engine can. even with half the engine making power the plane can limp home with a rotary.

personaly i would stick with the Lycoming AEIO-540 L1B5, 300 hp 6-cylinder Engine alredy installed in the plane something to do with its alredy an experimental lets not try and put it farther out into the experimental a turbo would make it even better but its 540CI in a plane that only weighs 1,480 lbs dry is pretty good
