Hey guys, what is the engine code for the 2.3L 4-cyl Mazda6 engine???

hmm this is not really related but kinda...i heard the mazda 6i engine is made by maxico....so i am wonding which country made the mazda 6s engine is it still by mexico? cause i am thinking about buying a mazda 6s...but i dont know if i can trust a engine from mexico...no offense but i heard some ppl who had a lot of troubles with mexico engine

hmmm i am pretty sure the US mazda 6i's engine is made in mexico tho...cause i asked the dealer b4

Yes the 6 cyl engine is assembled in Mexico. But then again so are the VW Jetta and Beatle.

on most cars you can find parts made in mexico
it doesn't mean they are any less quality than what is made here
it just means it was made by mexicans getting payed far less in a factory with very crappy safty standards, they get a bandaid kit if they are lucky

I know the V6 is a ford Duratec Block
I think the 4cyl is a Mazda engine

The 6 cyl is a Ford with Mazda heads and trans.
The 4 cyl is all Mazda (in fact we are going to be selling it to ford)

The Mazda6 V6 engine is assembled in Cleveland, OH. It's the I4 engine that's assembled in Chihuahua, Mexico.

MZR is the code for the I-4
