Did you run safeguards? Like:
1) Did you run colder spark plugs, and if so, one step or two step colder
2) Did you install a fuel pressure safety cutoff
3) Did you use nitrous and fuel pressure gauges to monitor
4) Did you retard timing/use P5 ECU
I have all of these "safeguards". Is there anything else I should do to safeguard my 50 wet shot?
By the way, I bought the guages from NX. Where do i install them? They just came with a gauge no wire/lines.
What do I need to do to install them in the car? get more stainless steel line/wire?

Off topic but I have to ask. How does the shot get into the c chamber. Does it use a similar system to the noszle system by NOS or do you have to drill into the mani

drill into the intake. about 6" before the throttle body so the fuel and N2O can mix

I only did step #1 and used a dry shot Zex kit....hence the demise of my 1st engine...:(

*Note i haven't blown my engine b/c i have used all of the above plus a wet kit!
*On A P5 ECU
1) Yes i Ran 1 Step colder Plugs
2)Yes i have a fuel pressure safety switch!
3)I have 2 guages...
a) A Nitrous Pressure Gauge
b)Autometer a/f Guage
4)Yes I Used the p5 ecu!
Yes there is plenty you can do to safeguard for a 50 shot!! Firstly Get a Header in there..Nitrous loves a Header b/c it can release the pressure built faster!
Get a Bottle warmer..so you can regulate the pressure of the nitrous(YOu will get better shots)!
Also...Check your plugs after your first run..You can usually tell if you are running to lean by the color of the plug!!!
About the guages..I installed my pressure guage right after the nitrous solenoid..NO extra Lines needed..but if you plan to mount in the cabin..You will need extra line...(*Note this will waste precious nitrous)
About the fuel pressure guage..it's really not needed b/c Nitrous Express supplies it's only fuel pressure..by the pill you use!!
But if you really want to install it..You will have to ask somone else..I haven't installed one..The next guage i will buy is a wideband!!

so can you guys give an estimate on cost for a "complete" n20 setup?
I mean I know a kit from NX or someone runs between 525 and 600 or there abouts but with the extra gauges and precautions, such as the colder plugs and bottle warmer, any guestimates on a total cost? Just a near figure dont need anything exact right now.
Also if I continue on and do go with some boost juice I was planning on some forged internals, anything to help really, do forged internals, such as new rods help my chance of surviving?
btw I only plan a 30-50 shot at most, and not real soon.

Thx man, I will plan then to save about a grand to do this properly, My dad has worked as a engineer for one of jags test facilities for yrs and I know we have all the tools necessary so he should be able to get me through most of the install.
Are there certain parts you would say to ONLY have a pro in n20 install?
Also I am a little confused, when you say it is a wet shot into the intake, you mean the intake manifold? or the actually air intake piping?

Oh yah, any pictures of the completed install in your engine bya? so I can get an idea of what it looks like and how you ran the purge?
thx alot

i will have pics hopefully by aug 14/15. a wet kit sprays into the air intake, about 6" before the throttle body. i'm getting the whole thing installed professionally, i dont wanna blow the engine. the place im bringing it has been doing n2o for years :D any other qs just ask :)

its pretty simple, ive reinstalled my kit about 2 times, and did a 240sx install, i guess i should take pics
you can get the manual off of the NX website, its fairly simple, you just have to find the fuel return line and run the wires and lines
and i only used 1 and 4, spraying for a year, hehe

how much fuel and nitrous do you use in the mix?
(NX didn't say the pills to make a 75 shot, but they give 50 and 35 for the Protege)
