hey man, I need to find out how to become a N20 moderator. I'm an ASE certified mechanic and have some good N20 experience. To hook up your seperate purge you will need a seperate push button activator, a "T" fitting, purge solenoid (spare N20), and the hosing to connect it all. It's very simple, simply "T" into the N20 feed line BEFORE your N20 solenoid and wire your purge buttom on a simpler 12V KO source as you would your regular discharge button. I'm assuming you have a ZEX unit? If so, I have done some cool things with ZEX systems. I'd like to see your set-up sometime. feel free to PM me here or email "perrymuk@bellsouth.net" if you have anymore questions.

:D
I dislike zex..To many people i know have blown their engines!!
Glad to see soo many people participating in the nitrous forum!!

Dude..Your a little confused..i think you are talking about the System switch(Activates the system..but doesn't shoot)...
the wot switch..is the one at your feet..that acutally triggers the nitrous and fuel to be shot into the intake!:D
You can have your purge button completely seperate..but i have mine connected to my system switch so that nothing will turn on until i hit the arming switch!
Here is a diagram of how to install..
http://www.mazdamp3.com/members/acidbbg/nitrous purge.jpg
It show that you need to ground the purge solenoid..than runn a power wire to your push button..on the push botton for the purge connect that line you ran from the purge..than get a straight 12v positive..and your done..
Mine is setup similar..but my straight positive is hooked in w/ the arming switch..(As the diagram above shows)
Any other questions..you know how to get a hold of me!
Peace

thats the exact same thing I said without the really cool diagram! Zex has been the best system I've used for daily driven street cars. I've jetted from 30-150hp with it and had no problems. You WILL feel zex shut off from time to time. Thats a good thing. It's saving your engine from running too lean. Thats the only complaint I've heard about Zex from one of MY installs. Not saying you guys do shitty work, just that I've never had one of "my" cars blow up.

ok let me get this straight.... the one on the floor(like you mount it behind the pedal so when ever you are at WOT, it will shoot?) so first you arm the system and as soon as you floor it you start to spray? so could I move the switch on the floor to the dash or something? or would it make more since to just turn the system on when i want to and since my foot is already mashed to the floor it will just start to shoot or does it really matter? and if just did it when i arm it like if im in 2nd or so and hit the arm button, does it take a second to get it ready or is you push it and it will go(since my foot is already down)
Sorry if thats confusing but yea just want to make sure

Yes you can move switch anywhere you want..but than i would change the switch to a push button..like seen in fast and furious...
I think the WOT switch is the best switch..you only want to be shooting at WOT anywayz..you get the most fuel out of the ecu!
And if you only want to shoot in 2nd..don't arm the system until you get into 2nd..than just hit wot (aka mash the gas!)lol

so your saying use the arming switch as a push putton?and keep the WOT under the pedal right?

No...Leave the Arming Switch and replace the WOT switch w/ a pushbutton! If you are uncomfortable with using the WOT switch!
I peronally think it was easier w/ the wot switch!

WOT is the safest way to do nitrous
a push button is RISKY IMO.
