Mazda Canada (http://www.mazda.ca/) has now posted all Canadian pricing.

2004 Mazda 3 (5-speed) Sedan

GX - $16,195
GS - $17,685
GT - $21,345

2004 Mazda 3 (5-speed) Sport

GS - $20,185
GT - $21,385

See the site for available options and packages.

Overall I think these are very reasonable prices. Can't wait to see one in person before making my final decision. :)

prices aren't bad. they're a tad higher than a protege5 .... but i'm sure that the price will go down after they've been out for a while. i like the sedan alot better than the hatch.

I did the convertions to American dollars, and I am very happy. Granted, the US price will be higher, but who says I can't take a trip up to Toronto, and pick me up a Mz3? I won't post the us pirices, because I don't want anybody thinking that they are the final numbers, but if you are intrested in converting the numbers, you can check out www.xe.com

the conversion factor doesn't necessarily apply well for car prices.

When the exchange rate was $1.50 CDN/USD, cars were selling for something like $1.25 CDN/USD... they were different. I'd wait before making more speculations for US prices.

But those ARE competitive prices...
