Resembles the Nissan Murano. (Especially from the back.) Anyone agree? I saw a white Murano at the store the other day, and I instantly thought "Hmm, looks like the Mazda 3." The Mazda 3 hatch only has 1 tailpipe, but put two on and it looks fairly similar.

btw - I think the Murano is the best-looking of all the SUV's...

infinity FX is the best looking, although they are pretty much the same thing

The Mazda 3 seems like a lot of cars combined into one (in terms of looks).

I completely agree. It has a classic look to it, but also looks very agressive. Plus, its crazy fast.

About the 3 hatch, I haven't throught of that, but I could see what you mean. Personaly, I think it looks a little more like the RX330 (it seems like Mazda is shooting to have a lot of their cars look like lesser priced Lex's aka the P5 and the IS300 sport cross).

I don't think that's the route they are taking. The reason why the P5 and the IS300 spX are the same is because the same design teams were employed for both projects

Although it looks a bit like a Murano IMO it looks just like the Lexus rx330. Personally I like my cars to look like cars, not minivans. All that bulbuous mass takes away from the clean lines established with the last gen. protege.

No, but it goes 0 to 60 in low 6's (some has 6.2, others have 6.4), plus its workin off a Nissian 4.5L V8 (and you see what they can do with the 3.5 V6 f.e. the Maxima). I've never driven one, but bein second in line to the 100k Turbo Porche SUV, I think that qualifies it to be called "crazy fast." lol. I've never driven one though, so I dunno how it picks up. Maybe it has the numbers, but it dosen't do them justice.

Uh,... in a word, NO...

These weren't done by the same designers or engineers. They're completely different vehicles as far as platform or architecture (FR vs. FF, Transverse I4 vs. Longitudinal I6, etc.)... nothing in common in fact or concept (other than they're both "sport wagons" with relatively "fast" backlights). Maybe just a strange confluence of side window graphics, but that's it (and not enough to say that they're done by the same design team).

Absolutely nothing to it...

Forrester XT should easily do 0-60 in the mid-5's; I thought at recent review put it at .1 seconds behind the Porsche Cayenne. That is much crazier faster...

I stand corrected!
