I know it's old news (the Elise coming to the US) but Road & Track has an excellent article on it.

For those who don't know, it uses a tuned Toyota Celica 4-cyl. ( only 190 HP/133 lb. ft of torque), but weighs under 2000 pounds.

0-60: 4.8
1/4 mile: 12 flat

And they say it can outhandle a Ferrari!

List is $39,000.

yeah those things are great, im glad they are finally bringing them here.

it reminds me of the miata in terms of approach to a sports car.

im still wondering since no one really answered me on the other thread....maybe cuz it was a dumb question...

but is this the 1st time the elise will be in the states cuz it is already freakin here...and has been for about a month or more....

yes, this is the first time the Elise is being sold in the States as a STREET LEGAL new vehicle.

lol, well some old nasty guy has it here and has had it...i think i saw it about a month ago for the 1st time and damn....

probably a non-US market Elise that was imported here.

sun motorsports has been selling elise with itr engines for years
