going to wilmington, nc

I'm heading out to Wilmington, NC for the weekend. Anyone know of any scenic and cool areas to go to?

Yeah, High Point, NC. lol Seriously. I dont live near the coast. We're in NW central NC. Take the blue ridge pwky coming from there. GREAT highway, you won't be dissappointed.

Well, I had a fun weekend of roadtripping. Took the MSP out on the long road to Wilmington, NC. It's a long drive of 10hrs from Nashville to Wilmington. I had fun though on the turns in the smokies close to Ashville. Once we got past Raleigh the road was pretty much straight....nice too look at though. I hit 100+ and luckily not too many troopers were out. I must say you NC folks are lucky you get all these fun roads. I wanted to go out to Deals Gap but didn't have enough time. The little lady and I had fun and it was awesome out on the coast. Good food and atmosphere. We rented a suite out by the inlet and enjoyed ourselves. I didn't see any MSP's out there but saw quite a few P5's. If you saw a Black MSP on I-40 that sounded like a turkey it was me.
