I'm going to be visiting Melbourne in March for like 9 weeks, and I was wondering what the laws were regarding renting cars in Australia? Age requirements, etc...? Also, do they have places that rent Skylines? That would be awesome.:)

they all depend on each company - no legal requirements in relation to age, just as lone as you have a drivers licence you'll be right. dont forget we can drink alcohol at 18 too :D :yippy:
i'm sure there would be 1 or two places that rent skylines, but dont expect any change out of $1000 per day

oh i'm well aware of the drinking age :) i don't drink much though, but i'm sure i'll indulge in a few
time to start saving for a skyline rental, or hope i meet someone who has one :)

yeah just be advised that if your under 25 the rental company will rape you for insurance, but they will still rent it out to you... i think bayswater has some of the best deals, but you can still use avis, europcar, and hertz...oh yeah budget and thrifty too..... but have a chat with a travel agent local to ya, or search for it on google.com.au
