at AstinaGT.com it is coming together to get something happening that weekend in Canberra, if there wasn't enough already....

A couple of Canberra members live practically across the road from EPIC, so looks like a BBQ is on the cards for lunch, time at the Nats and some evening cruising.

well wicked.... i'm there as you know... be good to see some cars that have done stuff properly, rather than the half arsed version i do!!!!
looks like i'm gonna be going down with iaink, twilite, (possibly snert) and some other vectra driver may be interested... we'll see
drive later in the night to manuka, or through woden would be good too... i suppose you could like fit in a quick tour de act... i might post this on astina gt too

i hope i can make it down to summernats. will probably try to stay in yass for cheaper beds...not far from canberra anyway. where's everyone else going to try and stay?

maybe minus halfa... i'm thinking of booking at either a van park, or going into woden, at the quality hotel... its an easy drive from there to everything else!!

guys i'm still not sure if i'm coming down. i'm leaving it to pretty much the last second. i'm hoping the cam cears arive today, i'll install them this arvo, sleepy, then leave here 1am or so. fingers crossed!

not going to nats. it would just cost me too much in fuel which i dont really have at the moment. i was going to adjust the cam gears extremely conservative to give me good fuel economy on the trip there and back...oh well.

yeah when i was asking him about cost etc customer service was great. not as great as gujustud with the oil caps, but right up there.

as soon as i paid....what customer service???

he should really take me seriously...i mean that little story is in almost 2000 places on this site

back from Nats early hours this morning, caught up with ahb11m, some good larfs and an AstinaGT mini-cruise......

Nats was a bit off the pace this year I thought compared to some years I've been there.

Well Kitty, you took great lengths to tell us how much you had to do at the apartment (such a mess, no food etc... something about a drowned lounge...) that I didn't think you'd have time... sorry!

I can confirm that the burnouts are even pretty tame this year Critter... I've only heard two popped tyres so far... and it's 2:30!!!!!

We had to close up the house today though... the tyre stench is not something I want after today!

yeah, track temps were just too hot i think... only had 2 fires, and a whole lot of blown motors....
on the up side my nose stopped bleeding today, from all the tyre smoke !! i spent all yesterday watching them... and i just thought, hmmm we need a few protege's down there !

once again much thanks to jj and bec, for making everyone comfortable etc, was a good evening, AND i got back just in time to see the evening entertainment (stunt men, rocket powered hiace, fireworks, strippers, bands wet t-shirt contest etc...)
