hey, this is just a showing your interest thread...nothing more.

we have two possible GB's coming up.

1. stainless steel brake lines and clutch line (optional)

2. AWR header (mild or stainless steel)

so everyone just say if you're a yay or nay and how far away until you can afford it.

personally i'll be doing my rr-racing big brake kit very soon (does anyone else want to buy something from rr-racing and save on shipping???)

then prob awr header

then SS lines shortly too....it's really all up to everyone as to what you want to do.

andrew.

I would be in for the AWR Header and SS Lines probably around the Mid FEB mark

I'm in for the SS lines effective immediately.

I won't be participating in a header buy in the immediate future as I have to budget for some replacement tyres in the next couple of months and if I'm replacing rubber I may as well go for some wheels as well!

SS lines for sure.

The brake thing I'm also interested in from rr-racing at the right shipping price with suitable pads.......(nervous about that......)

Headers - there is still the Pacemaker option locally which I would like to explore and report back on, also about the ramifications of fooling with emissions equipment ie both Pacemaker and AWR are notionally off-road headers as they remove the first cat.

The local header choice should be cheaper.
My most recent mail on them is "end January"

critter, so you'd be interested in the big brake upgrade from rr-racing? that'll save heaps in shipping if we both get stuff from there...

yeah let us know how the pacemaker headers are going...in relation to having to fool the emissions equipment - i've gutted my first cat and i dont have a CEL. it's been gutted for 7 month easy. anyway, i'm going to be doing the whole exhaust thing at once, with prob a magnaflow high flow cat and a titanium exhuast

oh and i'm trying to find out about the pads at the moment - havent heard back from rr about shipping costs. will ask them when they reply.

does anyone know the part number etc of the australian front and rear brake pads?

another thing - does anyone know a brand that makes good resonators for the exhaust?

The Pacemaker thing "covers/fools" the missing O2 sensor OK.
Was just thinking about the legal ramifications of fooling with the emissions gear.
Coppers aren't real fond of that.......

I'm using Powerflow hotdog and muffler. Not very loud but sounds nice.

just heard back from rr-racing about the brake package. will cost around $180usd for shipping (icky), but that's front big brake upgrade and rear rotors as well.

now here's possibly a problem. the front upsized rotors dont come in cadmium plating...me thinks twice......

but i'm still trying to find out if the pads front and rear are the same...

Front brakes are bendix DB1356 shape from memory.

i found out earlier. the american P5 brakes are exactly the same as the SP20 brakes. identical. same brake pad part numbers and everything.
