my 3 is only 8 days and already its harmed!!!!!

this sucks..... i have only had my car all of 8 days and it has already been messed with. yesterday morning i came out to my car at 6:30 in the morning and there it was the back end, no emblems, just holes and some remaining adhesive, and some scratches. so there isn't much i could do so i went to school, ordered new emblems ($75 for all three, the main mazda and the name plate, and the number 3, it was supposed to be about $100 but i got a deal since i had just bought the car from them) any ways i was in front of my house last night buffing out my scratches and putting the embelms back on and a cop came rolling down my street with his search light on, and i flag him down and asked if he was patroling the area do to complaints of other emblems being stolen, he said yeah and asked if mine were so he took a report, and said that this guy up the street, a buddy of mine, his New SVT Supercharged Cobra had the emblems ripped off as well as being keyed, and the wrote F**K FORD on the hood, anyways the cop said that they busted 3 individuals (one minor and 2 adults, over 18) they had gone to the local Mazda deal and were stripping the emblems off and the camera at the dealer got the plate number of the car and the cop that helped me staked out the kids house until he came home and busted him and his buddies, so the are in custady of the police and the cops are waiting for more complaints, they said that i will most like get reimburesed but the kid is facing felony charges do to the damage he did to the guys cobra, but yeah its done and over with, i now know that this punk won't be back in my area, SO ITS OKAY IF I DON'T GET MONEY BACK AS LONG AS I CAN SLEEP AT NIGHT, SORRY THIS IS SOOOO LONG JUST NEEDED TO VENT, MY BABY WAS HARMED!!!!!!!!

On a positive note, two of them were over 18 so maybe they'll be someones ass-buddy in the clink.

every emblem had hole except for the "3" it was just adhesive

Hey...Man sorry to hear bout this...but glad you can sleep now...
I was thinking about in case of "emblem jacking" how can I take them off (permanently) without harming the paint or the body...???

taking the emblems off is no problem, the problem is the holes underneath for the pegs of the emblems, the mazda nameplate, the mazda emblem both have pegs in the back, so you would need to fill and repaint the trunk lid, sorry bro, but hey at leat you didn't need to find that out the hard way (by having them stolen)

also sucks that there are holes under the "mazda" because i had hoped i could take that and the "3" off. oh well.
