Did you by chance have your school books on the passenger seat?

If I put a six pack in the seat it turns off the air bag.

Then it's normal. There is a pressure switch in the seat that turn the passenger airbag off and on at certain weights. Your backpack is probably very close to the switching weight and as it bounced along while you were driving, it opened and closed the switch.

Read your owner's manual and it will explain how it works.

Don't bother the dealer cuz they'll just laff at u. ;)

So far, so good. 4,300 miles and only had to take in in for an alignment and the front airbag sensor. So far have added a ton of factory accessories, a few *ahem* custom accessories, re-wired the cigarette lighter and have the kit for converting the filter to a spin-on.

Yep. I hear ya. I put a $300 air horn system on mine. Sounds like a freight train. (thumb)

I won't do neon. I'm purely into functional mods.

Whatever pops your shorts, though.

Exactly. Having a 140db air horn is much better. Just scare them right out of their panties. :p
