Well, hell... two of the colors you listed aren't even available on the 3. There is neither a sunset orange nor an indigo blue.

What do you mean by indigo blue -- is that strato or winning? Also, are you looking for a i or a s? I figured the s since you can't get you put orange in the poll.

Good point. I was confused about the indigo since there are two possible blues (assuming they want an 's'). I dind't notice that the poll also said sunset. Maybe different markets have different names for the colors? I was going off of what was shown on mazdausa.

strato blue = indigo blue

Good possibility. Since bigo711 doesn't have his location posted we can't really tell if he/she/it is quoting real colors or is just a dumbass wannabe. (thumb)

Sure. It's great at catching the attention of every cop you pass, too. :)

I'll stick with my stealthy titanium "road dirt" gray.

I guess the only one I didn't consider was velocity red because of the cop thing and a while back I heard that insurance was more for bright red cars too. I don't know if that's just a myth though. My strato blue does show the dust pretty easily ... almost like black would maybe. If that's a concern for anyone looking to buy you might want to keep that in mind. I still like it a lot though especially how it looks when it's starting to get dark outside. Shit I still can't decide which color I like best cause a lot of them look great imho. I had a hard time deciding between 4 and 5 dr too. The only thing I was decisive about was I wanted a Mazda3s.

I own a red ( best color i think ) HB and so far no problems with the cops and i think its a myth about red meaning more money for insurance since my insurance ( progressive ) didnt ask about the color.

I'm getting pissed with the number of orange cars I see on the road now, I love my orange sport but EVERY Manufacturer is putting out orange cars now!! I thought I was being original with my selection of colour, though I do love to see other orange 3's running around :D

white is the best imho. the white really shows of the contrast between the headlights/taillights and the body of the car. ive seen all the colors at the dealership and i liked the only white sedan over every othere 3 there.

orange and yellow? hmm... orange is not the new silver in my opinion... orange and yellow should be strictly reserved for high-end euro cars (ferrari, lamborghini)... just my opinion, the mazda3 just doesnt look fast enough

Oh really? I've decoded the VIN and color is not part of it as far as I could tell. Which digit?

I don't think it's necessarily a certain digit in your VIN that says color (like the fifth J means black!) but a production range were painted a certain color, like "J43G6K through J45G8K" are red (yes, I made up that VIN range).

Black is sooooooo hard to keep up! If I'd have known that before hand I wouldn't have gone with it. BUT, it is bliss when it's clean and sparkly - no comparison. :D

For the seats I really like the blue cloth for the 3s the best, so for this poll that means blue or white. Anyone have pictures of a white 3s sedan? I'd like to see how it looks, especially with the sport package and tint.

theprophetevan - Thanks for posting that. Was confused at first because I saw your info was from L.A. and I recognize that dealers name from here, then I read more carefully and see you say it's some guys cardomain site. Will have to try and ask him how much that clear bra and tint was. I'm looking to do 35% all around on mine. The clear bra goes pretty far up the hood on his. His car looks good for sure, still not sure if I have a definate favorite though.

the orange and the red are more of a target...some departments still train in the acadamy that red is a color picked by people who are psycologicly(SP?) gonna speed... My blue stands out sooooo bad but never gets more attetion then needed....most people are trying to cetch up to me to find out what kind of 6 I have due to the "US" spec euro tails...Too bad lapis metalic isn't one of the colors cause this color is real nice with it's blue and purple at certain angles...the only colors I seen on the 3 was silver and black but the dealership says the blue is what everyone and their brother orders it in. I say look at each car in the color if possible and then deside so you don't be disapointed if you order it and hate the shade of color...

I was gonna ask till you said it wasn't your car...there are 2.3 badges in some picts but not all...

this thread is seriously old im sorry.

but im looking to get a Mazda3 Sport GT yadda yadda this summer and am having difficulties in choosing between the indigo blue or the orange. All i ever see are grey titanium/gunmetal or what-not around so forget that colour. too conservative and common. My buddy has an indigo blue one which is pretty sexy. i like how it changes shades to a more violet tone in diff lighting.

the one i never see however is the orange one. i love how it looks on the pontiac Vibe (yes yes, dont rag me out for mentioning it, im not getting one now am i (bird) ) and the honda element. orange/blackness is good.

my question is can anyone post some sexy pics of their orange mazda3 sport? hopefully you've got tinted windows!

(group)

ps - i wish there was a green of some sort, like a dark olive, or deep dark green..
