Front bumper price?

A toothless redneck backed into me in a parking lot Friday. So he'll be buying me a new bumper (or his insurance, he's not sure until he hears a ballpark figure). I called my local Mazda, but they're not Mazdaspeed certified and the lady I talked to there, said she wasn't sure if it was right or not, but gave me a price of $225 and that seemed low to me, coming from a dealer and all, so I called Ocean Mazda in Miami (where I bought the car from) and I don't speak Spanish, but I think he said $234 ... is that about right? I tried asking how much paint is, but they both said talk to a body shop, eventhough I was trying to figure out how much just the paint itself costs. Anyways... has anyone done this, and how much did it cost all said and done, I have to go drive an hour to go get the police report today. So I don't know if I'll get around to going to a body shop today or not.

I got a bumper off of a forum member that was in primer for 180 bucks, then I bought a lip (3.5 so i needed it) for around 200. Paint is expensive. I got my hood, bumper and lip done for 900 bucks. I would guess around 300 to 400 to paint the bumper. You should call a shop though.

225 sound low. I cracked a side skirt and it was $200 on the site. and the invoice the sent the bodyshop said $200.

225 is probably actually pretty accurate. Like I said I got mine for 180 shipped and it was brand new in the box with no paint.

the regular ES bumper is 185, and the protege5 is about 225 as well.
