I am currently looking into the new Nos sniper kit. I wanna run a 50 shot depending on the opinons of the guys at my local import shop. The kit come in 2 for they both fit and I was wondering if anyone could tell me the differences between the Holley 4150 model and the quardajet spread bore base model and which one I should go with????????????????????
Thnx for the help

I don't know much about Nitrous except for one thing...it can be VERY dangerous for your engine and it's continued life. A number of people on this board who have done so themselves would second my opinion and say that nitrous is just too easy to blow your engine.

I'm not quite sure the exact problem, but there is a problem with running nitrous on our cars, (MP3). I know of several people who tried to experiment with nitrous and it has not been succesful for anyone I know. Try to do a search on nitrous, and it should bring up the thread that explains why there is a problem with nitrous and our engines. Or just ask Lunix Racer, I beleive he has the FS-ZE engine due to ruining the stock engine with a nitrous experiment. In my opinion, get a turbo, or consider an engine swap, but don't go the nitrous route.

DONT GET NITROUS. buy a turbo. turbo will last you longer and you dont have to worry about blowing your manifold and head gaskets. i dont want to start a falemwar, but nitrous is a cheap engine mod. unless you are serious about drag racing and have a drag car then buy it. but for the street, many have died from not being able to control the car. Nitrous is for people who cant shift right. if you do do, be CAREFULL, detonation is an ugly thing.

GET A TURBO!!! There is only one person I know of that has supposedly run Nitrous successful (Jayracr). I have not heard much from him lately. He broke a motor mount, and had to get it replaced last time I spoke to him. I had a Zex 55 shot on my original engine. It lasted all of 2 days before the hole in my piston:

About $4000 bucks later, I had the J-Spec Motor installed. I could have waited till now, and for less than that, I would be boosted (Like I will be in about a week). That's why I have decided to go Turbo. Of course, I have changed the pistons back to the 9.1:1 compression, and have new rod bearings. Don't find out too late like I did. Go turbo!

NOS is the worst thing to do to our cars, especially a 50 shot of NOS, (wet or dry) it's gonna *uck the engine. NOS is a waste of time, I'd rather go turbo and do some engine mods to my car, Id never add NOS to my car. I'd rather spend hours tuninng and adding mods to my car and tweaking it out then adding NOS. What would u be more proud of?? An engine with just NOS or an engine with high compression pistons, turbo, pulley kit, ignition system upgrade, cam gears, intake and exhaust camshaft, free flowing headers, exhaust system, etc...
NOS is for lazy people who wanna find a cheap and quick way to boost horsepower and who don't give a *uck about their engines. (getsome) (upyours)
NOS (piss)

Why Not?
Detonation. Blown head gasket. Broken rod. Hole in piston. Cracked head. These are the things that will happen if you go with the 10:1 compression and boost. The pressure is already high without the boost.

Yeah, and to add to this.. you would have to be running octane boost, or race gas on every tank to be even close to safe! That's why after reading Maximum Boost, I lowered my compression back to 9.1:1. It is just safer to do so.

linux when you ran nitrous, how did you run it? DId you use 93 octane? Did you run a wet system? did you have retard timing of a p5? All of these I will end up doing...
