Official Meet INFO JAN 21

official info:
Saturday, January 21st 2006. 12PM
Paradise Beach Park in Melbourne, Florida.

Now...directions.

From Miami/Ft. Lauderdale/Vero Beach/Stuart/etc.
1. Take I-95 North to Melbourne.
2. Leave the highway at the 2nd Melbourne exit (Eau Gallie Blvd/CR518, EXIT 183). Go east.
3. Travel east all the way through Melbourne and over the 2 bridges until the road ends (at the Atlantic Ocean).
4. Turn right (south) onto Highway A1A. Drive about 2 miles.
5. Paradise Beach Park will be on the left hand side of the road...on the beach. It's an open lot, so you shouldn't have trouble finding me.

*You can take Highway 1 or A1A the entire way, but it'll take forever.

From Daytona Beach/New Smyrna/St. Augustine/Jacksonville/etc.
1. Take I-95 South to Melbourne.
2. Leave the highway at the 1st Melbourne exit (Eau Gallie Blvd/CR518, Exit 183). Go east.

5. Paradise Beach Park will be on the left hand side of the road...on the beach. It's an open lot, so you shouldn't have trouble finding me.

9. Paradise Beach Park will be on the left hand side of the road...on the beach. It's an open lot, so you shouldn't have trouble finding me.

*There's a million back roads you COULD take to get here...but I wouldn't recommend it if you aren't too familiar with them.

From Gainesville/Ocala/Talahassee
(0.5. Talahassee and panhandle residents take I-10 east to I-75)
1. Take I-75 South to the Florida Turnpike.
2. Take the Turnpike south to SR 528 (aka the Beeline).

7. Travel east all the way through Melbourne and over the 2 bridges until the road ends (at the Atlantic Ocean).
8. Turn right (south) onto Highway A1A. Drive about 2 miles.
9. Paradise Beach Park will be on the left hand side of the road...on the beach. It's an open lot, so you shouldn't have trouble finding me.

*Alternatively, if you can't afford tolls, you could take I-75 to I-4 and follow the route from Tampa, but you'll add about an hour to your voyage.

From Melbourne.
1. If you can't find Eau Gallie Blvd, something is seriously wrong here.
2. Find Eau Gallie Blvd.

*If you live in Melbourne and call me because you're lost, I'm going to laugh at you, then give you the wrong directions.

Maps and more:
The Park's address is:
2501 Highway A1A N
Indialantic, FL 32903

Map of Park and surrounding area.
Map from Tampa to the Park.
Map from Miami to the Park. (disregard the directions they give you. It's easier to get lost and you'll be more likely to get stuck in traffic).
Map from Gainesville to the Park. (again...using these directions are up to you).
Map from Jacksonville to the Park.

Hope this answers the question of directions. If anyone needs any further info, just PM me or give me a call. 321.243.2977.

As for what we do afterwards. It's still up in the air. I want to hear what everyone would like to do, then go from there.

Courtesy of SCOTT.

Ok, soooooooo many things are happening with this meet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First off...

Devl323's post, #264, is referring to the CARE PACKAGE that MAZDA USA has sent to IPMCSFL for this florida statewide meet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, it's true, this meet has become a blip on the national radar for MAZDA USA!!!!!

Secondly, I would like to announce the Judges for the awards that will be given out.

1. RaiderMP5- Eric
2. **********- Cullen
3. JCell- Jaime

The categories are:

1. Best in Show
2. 1st Loser (aka 2nd Place)
3. Best in Class: Protege DX, LX and ES
4. Best in Class: Mazdaspeed Protege and MP3
5. Best in Class: Protege 5
6. Best in Class: Mazda3 sedan/hatch
7. Best in Class: Mazda6, 626 and MX-6
8. Best in Class: MX-5/Miata
9. Best in Class: the RX series: RX-7 and RX-8
9. Best in Class: Other Mazda
10. Best in Class: Other NON-Mazda

If you want your car to be considered for any category, YOU MUST TELL RAIDER, S.U. OR JCELL AT THE MEET. This is the only way that you will be considered. You are ALLOWED to enter more than one category, per car, as long as your car meets the criteria for it. ie, Best in Class P5 AND Cleanest Trunk. (an example of NOT would be: Best in Class P5 and Best in Class: Mazda6 for same car)

The awards will be given out at the end of the meet, so if you've entered, you'll want to stay to the end. They will NOT be mailed out to you. If you are not there to collect your award, it will be given to the next person in that category.

Picnic facilities include a large pavilion with seating for up to 200, grills, and 2 medium pavilions. Restrooms, park benches, and outside showers provide convenience. We need a pavillion if we want to grill, I guess. I do not have a portable one, I am expecting one to be there. If someone has a grill, please bring one!

I have one that is portable that runs on gas. I will bring it as a backup. I will also bring hotdogs and buns.
Does someone need to call and reserve a pavillion for the 21st? I will do it if need be.
