Hey Guys, I'm new and I have some questions.

Hey guys, this is going to be my first post and I'm glad to be here.

I live in Texas, own an 03 Protege es, and I have some questions for you, if you don't mind. I'll also mention now that I'm pretty much a car noob when it comes to most things, so please be patient.

So, I'm looking do something to my car but nothing really intense as of now, partly because I'm kinda low on the moneys. Basically, I'm looking for a little performance gain and some appearance mods too.

Hmm, so, I guess what I want to know is where would be a good place to start putting in some more power without having to upgrade the drivetrain?

I was thinking about just getting some better spark plugs, and maybe one of those injen cold airs for now, but really have no idea if it would even make a noticeable impact, or what other things I would need to really make it worth it.

For appearance and just fun stuff I'm thinking about putting in a short-throw, getting some new wheels, headlights, and If I could afford/find/install it, I might look into getting some sort of body kit, but it doesn't seem like there is much around(nothing really) that fits a vanilla protege.

Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated and I welcome all opinions.

Thanks for reading, I'll try to get a picture up of my nice stock car soon.

well the cold air intake would deffinitely boost your power and acceleration. what you could also do is buy some obx headers, and de cat your midpipe, if you want to. or u can just get a new exhaust. you could also get cams once you get the money. these are just things so u can stay n/a.
