Ive had my 00 protege since january and i signed up on here a whilke ago. im up in canada so im mostly on the toronto protege forums but i thought id make an update thread since ive done a lot of work to my ride the last few months.

Here's just a pic of a stock front end so we have a quick comparison.

This is the front grill from japan and clear corners. The grill took a lot of work to get fitted properly but it completely changes the look of the front end.

i got bored one day and decided to remove my side mouldings. it didnt take that long at all. you just have to pull them off parallel with the car and the glue will stay stuck to the moulding instead of your car.

Next i decided to black out my badges.

I picked up a can of VHT night shade from performace improvements and blacked out my tails. I taped off the reverse clears with masking tape and cut out the section with an exacto knife. hey werent dark enough when i took this pic so i did them again later.

I ordered some Blue leds from superbrightled.com and switched my cluser from pale green to spark blue. I also swithced over the transmission but its still being finished if your wondering why its so bright.

For my birthday my brother got me the Honda SIR spoiler but it was blue so i set up a paint booth in my garage and sprayed it to match. i just got it mounted last week.

I have started the grey to black interior swap by painting all pillars. and doors black. I used fabric dye and vinyl spray for the doors and the turn out was way better than i expected.

Here is the new center console with cut short shifter and blue led shift lights. Also the dash finished with vinyl spray and p5 3 spoke steering wheel. i also dyed the roof.

The car is black on black but ive decided to do a few very small red accents. here's a badge i added to the front grill. im still working on the rear badge accent and im doin a red lip on my rims next summer

Some pics of the tint

got my muffler finished up and ready to go. im getting it installed in 2 weeks but i got pics of the process of when i bought it

before:

almost there

final product

Got my muffler installed finally

My newest project is the 16" SIR rims. Going with flat black and next summer ill get the red lip put on and get them done professionally. i just got the primer on there today. i got them with brand new winter tires so im going to ride them out until next season and grab some nice rummer next summer. ill get a little less profile on the summers when i do get them.

heres a timeline of the back end as i worked on it.

Next year im fixing the body, lowering and paint and me and my brother are gonna do the auto to stick conversion i hate this auto shit. ive only had the car for about 6 months now but i got a lot planned for it in the next year or so.

Wow! Recoloring the interior was a pretty gutsy move, if I may say so, but I'm glad it's all working out for the best.

Could you please provide me with the link or part numbers for the blue LED's you purchased for your dash? They truly look awesome on your car, and I think that they'd be a perfect complement the dark blue display on my new Kenwood deck.
