AC Schnitzer BMW Z4 Roadster

Specialist tuning company AC Schnitzer applies its expertise to the BMW Z4 Roadster.

AC Schnitzer has deployed its familiar brand of tuning and styling magic on BMW’s Z 4 Roadster and the results are clearly impressive. Performance has leapt to 360bhp (from the stock car’s 306) and torque has risen from 400Nm to a tree-stump pulling 520Nm.

The company’s claiming 4.9 seconds 100 km/h (down from 5.1 stock), top whack of 282 km/h (standard’s 250), so its smiles all round.

Externally, there’s a chrome grille, front spoiler and wheelarch and rear spoiler enhancements, the latter being a two-piece affair. To keep it all on the road, the suspension has been upgraded with a new spring kit. Rear exhaust is an all-new stainless steel affair.

I dont think the front lower grille matches the car, and I dont care for the wheels. Other then that, it looks nice.

The stock Z4 grill can be used and the wheels are actually pure sex in person. I have one sitting 8 ft from me here at work.

Ok I take back what I had said about the wheels. The original picture made me think the insides of the wheels were painted black. Looks much better in the sunlight.

They are painted black. ACS has 3 to 4 different wheels for this car.
