I could go snap a pic real quick but theres a hole I put mine through almost right behind the battery. Its like a rubber grommet on the firewall you have to push the cable through.

**edit**
I forgot I cut a hole into the right side of the rubber piece on the firewall. Be careful not to hit any wires

Not hard at all. I used an exacto knife to slice through it. The toughest part is getting the cable pulled through to the interior, but I guess that just depends on what gauge of cable you use.

how much did you pay for the setup?

I put my wires through the rubber gromet under the steering wheel. I cut a hole with an exacto blade. Haven't noticed any leaks, been working fine, been there for over a year.
