Mazda's Full Size Pickup truck.

Was at dealer the other day, and it was mentioned that Mazda might be coming out with a Full Size Pickup truck in 2006-2007. This is not the 1st time I have heard of this, but I was surprised that the dealer brought it up to me.

Anyways, we kind guessed that it would probably be based on the Ford F-150 platform.

Anyone know about this? Are there any links to some info?

Interesting, as I don't see the "less power, better handling" Mazda thing working in the full-size truck market. Would be interesting if they came out with something to compete with the new Toyota x-Runner though!

Mazda in my opinion is just doing smart business....,
I was thinking about this the other day, I was driving around and I started to see how many more Mazda's there are on the road then at least I have ever noticed. With the inception of the Mazda6, MS Protege, MS Miata, RX-8, M3, this is a car company that has listened to the public and has delivered. So what not jump on the bandwagon of full size pickup, shiiiit HOnda is making one. Just my amateur opinion i guess.................

I agree. I think Mazda's styling and new development has brought them to be one of the best automotive companies. Everyone one of their vehicles looks great. They even have the best looking vans. I wouldn't be ashamed to be riding around in a new MPV on some nice shoes. I'm hoping they do bring out a new full size truck with their style added to it.

Agreed. Although the'yre not gonna hve much success. Most truck owners IN americas are AMERICAN truck owners. Most of them wouldnt even consider something beyond dodge, ford, or GM. But I hope they do, and at least kick Nissans ass.

The last rotary truck was in the mid 70's.

I cant wait to see a full size mazda pick-up truck. the base engine will probably be a 4 cyl. 170 horsepower, FWD. It should be really funny.

extremely pointless, Mazda should drop the b2300 and the tribute and just focus on its cars. Its made a name for itself as of late with its cars, so why not put more effort into them instead of some truck nonsense.
