How many tickets do all of you P5er's have?

Just curious, I personnaly do not have any. Insurance in NJ is so high I cant afford a speeding ticket. I do flirt with hittin a 100 often though. I bet some of you with all your mods are up to 1 ticket a month or so. Let me hear. )

im 20 yrs old and i got a ticket jan 15, 2004 doing 25mph over. i still haven't gone to court for it. i was told that my license will get suspended, but i have a lawyer and 9 out of 10 i will probably get a $300 to $400 fine because some people i know got the samething, or i might get like $200 with community service. i have several friends with tickets and are under 21 just like me and still hasn't gone to court. in georgia, if your are under 21 and get 4 points or more, you are suppose to have a suspended license for 6 months, i think. i know like 8 people off the top of my head who has at least 8 points. i learned my lesson, so i usually drive 10mph over because they wont pull you over, and if im in a rush 15mph over.

Whats a SR-22. I dont have any tickets now but I did got caught with a bag of weed as a minor, lost my license for a month, , lost my license for 6 months for 1 too many everclear and koolaid, then had two tickets for speeding, but one got reduced by the cop for the stuff I had hanging from my reivew mirror, in my 89 Dodge Daytona ES.

SR-22 is proof of financial responsibility through insurance. In NH you don't need insurance unless you have an SR-22. It runs 3 years at a time and I keep on having to carry it. If I cancel my insurance the DMV gets a letter and my license is suspended.

I am a Habitual Offender also which is determined by violations and types of violations rather than points. When you get Habitual it is an automatic 1-4 years loss of license. Then if you get caught driving it is mandatory 1-5 years in jail. My buddy got 1 month and 11 months house arrest so I guess it isnt that bad

I have to make it 1 year since last april without any tix in NH. I have a suspended charge of 60 days in County Jail based on good behavior. Hopefully I make it. My lawyer kept me from going this last time.

I racked up 12 points in my first 6 months of driving. Thank god they didn't have the probationary period like they do now. A year later I got another ticket which pushed it up to 14 points. I was paying about 4k a year between insurance (liability only) and surcharges. Had to take that defensive driving course - my camaro was overheating on the way there - and I was running late. I committed 7 moving violations on the way to class including speeding, driving in the opposite lane, blowing red lights, etc.

My first few cars - I didn't pay for - so I didn't care about them. I once raced a friend through the neighborhood where he lived in brick and actually did an ebrake slide in my 1979 Grand Prix at 50mph to cut a 90 degree angle turn (with a footbrake/hand pull release on the ebrake). In my first year driving, I had a bunch of accidents, and drove like a jackass. 2 Hit and Runs my first week driving.

I'm now down to like 4 points on insurance(middle of a 4 car pileup last march), and I think 0 state. I've learned to slow down alot. Staying with traffic really is the best thing. I still regularly hit triple digits on the way to work on the weekends, but only in a spot where there is no shoulder for quite a while, and I'm less likely to get caught. It's also for a very short period of time. I do it because it's fun, and it also lets me see how well the tires are balanced. I have a radar detector - but the best way to tell if there are cops ahead is still just watching the traffic ahead of you for odd lane changes and brake lights.

I am one of 8 kids, I have younger siblings and nieces and nephews who are just starting to drive recently - so now I find myself trying to lead by example whenever they are around. It's hard though. My little brother just wrecked his Nissan 240 about a month back - 40 stitches in his face (glass and he bit a hole though his cheek on impact). That kinda reminded me why it's important to be careful. It's not just the risk of physical harm - it's the money involved with getting the car towed, the tickets, the repair costs, and the pain in the ass of getting all this done while still having a social life and getting to work on time.

ive gotten out of more tickets then i can remeber... Biggest one was wreckless driving, improper lane change, failure to signal, speeding, using a lane that wasnt designed for traffic... but i got a warning. 60 in a 45 and illegal tails... both warnings. Improper lane change with oncoming traffic from the rear (wtf)... thrown out. 100 in 70 on I95 at GA/FL boarder... cop reduced 81 and i paid them and FL never heard about it.

So right now i have a clean record.

Had my P5 in March of 2003, and I've had a total of 2 tickets (both were taken off though, plea bargain)

I got no tickets in my first (nearly) two years of driving, then two months before my 19th birthday I got one for illegal swindow tint, one for going through a stopsign (Which is a bullshit ticket. It was 3am and I was going like 4 mph) And then the big one, 122 in a 70 on the way to Atlanta. Spent 24 hours in the douglas county jail, paid nearly $700 in fines and court costs, and I'm still getting rides while I wait for the 6 month suspension to expire. And the best part is, when I get my license back, I'll be paying 6 grand a year for full coverage.
